For the Love of It

It's simply amazing what love can do.
If we can find trust in our hearts, then there's no obstacle we cannot overcome, there are no barriers we can't break down. All fear is illusionary, and when we push the boundaries on it, we always find it explodes like a bursting bubble. And when it does, wonderful expansions of consciousness happen. That's why I find this video below about the situation in Greece so heart warming. Despite the desperate economic situation they're currently in, it shows how people are giving up the use of money, and instead returning to the age old system of bartering. They're doing things 'just for the love of it'...

Greek Town develops bartering system

I find the video very inspiring. It shows that there is another way besides the exploitation of our planet and its natural resources through profit based Industrial Consumerism. And as the economies of the world begin to burst apart at the seams, there is nothing to fear. For as the old world consciousness breaks apart, it will provide fertile ground for something new to be unveiled.

    "To be thrown upon one's own resources, is to be cast into the very lap of fortune; for our faculties then undergo a development and display an energy of which they were previously unsusceptible."
    Benjamin Franklin

The lesson of Iceland

That's also the lesson of Iceland. Have you wondered why you're not hearing anything in the general media since the collapse of it's economy in the credit crunch of 2008?

The 'powers that be' do not want us to know. It's because the situation is so evolutionary inspiring. An uprising of consciousness by the people challenged the system. They caused the government to resign, they nationalised the primary banks for the good of the people, refused to pay back the international debt that had been heaped upon them and rewrote the constitution through a public assembly gathered from ordinary people across the internet. And all of this has been achieved in an entirely peaceful way.

    "Never doubt that a small, group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
    Margaret Mead

Miracles happen

Many people are discovering a new level of trust in the universal flow. That if we truly allow ourselves to follow what we feel is right in our hearts, then we'll be supported by the universe. We'll get exactly what we need to be us.

    At times the steps to a new way of being and a new level of consciousness might seem almost impossible to take, especially when you stare into the eyes of the old system almost everywhere you look. But the path to the top of the mountain is formed from each step. I find that if I focus simply on what my heart is inviting in this moment, then somehow I have what it needs to take that step.

And what's more, when I do, I find the whole world seems to transition around me. Miracles happen!

Chris, thanks for posting this clip. It made my soul sing when I saw it a couple of days ago. It just feels so right & even in the midst of such uncertaintly & struggle, I can feel the seeds of hope that are germinating within these wonderful & proud people. I see the green shoots of hope & change all around me in the Matrix at the moment. I have to admit that I am watching some news coverage at the moment (doing my best to not get drawn into the 'drama' of course) because it is so fascinating to observe how people really are reclaiming their power, even in the most extreme situations. I just wanted to share information about a book that I am currently reading & feeling inspired by;
THE LEADERLESS REVOLUTION - How Ordinary People Will Take Power & Change Politics in the 21st Century. By Carne Ross
http://www.theleaderlessrevolution.com (for more info & a very interesting interview)
The author is a British ex-diplomat who suddenly realised he couldn't carry on perpitrating the myths & falsehoods that constitute political power games & war-mongering. He likens his change of heart to; 'jumping off a cliff' Sounds familiar! His book is very synchronistic (given it took 7 years to write) & articulates much that we discuss here about the physical world as we experience it presently, while making it totally clear that WE have to take responsibility for changing things. We know that mainstream politicians haven't got a clue how to make things better, therefore it is up to US to 'Be the change'. It is also interesting that Mr Ross is currently on a working committee, with members of Occupy Wall Street, as well as members of actual Wall Street, exploring better alternatives to the current financial & banking system. A new politics is needed & it must be 'self organised & non violent'. Humanity must never lose hope that; 'a new way is possible, but it has to be enacted, not asked for.'

This, I find incredibly encouraging and heart warming.

Thank you for posting this! It's wonderful to find people coming together, finding inspired ways during times of challenge (would be even more wonderful if we didn't have to wait for a crisis to take back our power too).

    through sickness we recognize the value of health;
    through evil, the value of good;
    through hunger, the value of food;
    through exertion, the value of rest.

If anyone is interested in finding out more about Permaculture (a framework for creating sustainable ways of living; a practical method for developing ecologically harmonious, efficient & productive systems that can be used by anyone, anywhere) www.permaculture.co.uk is the home of Permaculture Magazine. There are lots of free resources & e-books available, as well as inspiring solutions to many of the practical issues we face at this time. Instinctively we know that Globalisation is no longer working or energetically appropriate. What many people are realising is that the answer to many of our practical problems lies much closer to home. Rather than waiting for someone else to put things right, a previously lost sense of Community is emerging, to remind us that we can achieve great things when we dissolve the illusion of separation. Just as the Greeks are benefitting from coming together & trading without the use of tradional money, so we can do the same with skill swopping & time banks for example. We all have the opportunity to reclaim our power in this way, no matter how financially challenged we might find ourselves. We are invited to fully realise the gifts & talents that we might share with others & in doing so, take the first small, but very important steps towards realising a more fair & caring society.
