I know we have not met but I felt such a connection with you from your post on the website. I too tolerated behaviour that was unacceptable so as not to rock the marital boat...I knew it was all childhood trauma and learned so many things to help him but the total lack of trust eventually made me give up and after nearly 50 years I made the decision to split for the sake of my soul . Empathy can make us work so hard to help.
