Parallels

Hi Asya,
I appreciate this line of inquiry as I have been exploring the notion of perfectionism lately too. I was looking at my distorted expectations that those in positions of leadership should be perfect in all aspects of their life and have mastered all the knowledge of their field ie doctors nurses etc. I feel like it's this bizarre expectation brought on by the intervention but it seems the world accepts it, especially since it takes away responsibility and demands others take care of us instead. So I've made room for the fact that everyone is an imperfect human with unique strengths and gifts and just because someone is adept at say empathizing with someone or can see/feel energy and help someone clear blocks, it doesn't mean they don't struggle with other areas in their life. And I'm allowing how that is not only totally okay but part of what it is to be a soul having a human experience. It feels quite liberating to let myself trust someone to do what they are gifted at doing even though they're not perfect. And to extend that grace to myself. It also really helps ease the habit of judgement and criticism of myself and others. I can feel the body relaxing with this new sense of letting go of demands and expectations of perfection.
You embody this wonderfully in that you boldly express in whatever way feels right to you, regardless of if you perceive yourself to be good at it. That's what I think creativity is really about, not whether you're adept at it but that you're allowing it expression in its own right and taking the ego out of it. I really enjoy not only your work in all its forms, but also hearing about your inspiring journey.
Thanks for sharing!🙏💙🌌
