Hi Asya,
Those are deeply profound realizations that we all could hoist on board, thank you. Especially that of the endless road of self-discovery. It changes the chasing after the carrot to allowing oneself to continuously emerge through honest expression. And the less we fiddle with trying to 'get it right', the more we allow that flow of expression to open out.
I do however very much appreciate so-called perfection. I see it in your work and I think maybe as long as we're not losing the flow through self-beratement, or forcing it, there's nothing wrong with it. Balance has its place. Like sacred geometry.
The next best thing to creating is being the witnesser of expression. Enjoying the fruits of labour. To me, experiencing art in every form, is just as important as the creating. To simply experience something and feel the way the soul resonates. The way the mundane mind will just pause for a moment and you're suspended in time, held by beauty. And we can find art anywhere. A rock on a suburban path can evoke wonder and deeper knowing. The way scrubby grasses can bring a brick wall to life. But when it's from someone's soul, and it touches yours...that makes the mountain easier to climb.
So much gratitude to you and your work. Much love, barb🙏💙🌌
