Living the Shift - A Life Beyond Fear

Submitted by Open on Wed, 02/13/2019 - 04:46

Essentially fear is what cripples people into outdated lifestyles, divorced from the connection with 'God'. It's often fear that keeps people nose-to-the-grindstone in today's society or else strangles the joy from relationships. How different would your life be if you lost the fear of any of this? What would it be like if you no longer feared death? I believe that with some relatively basic internal confrontation, we can purge fear from our lives, and set the soul soaring.

Confronting Fear

Are you ready to take a journey with me beyond fear?

It'll take a little over 5 minutes to read my article, slightly more than it takes to brush your teeth. I can't promise you that reading this alone will be the end of fear. But it could be the beginning of the end. And if you're prepared to put some of my suggestions into practice, then I believe you could be living beyond fear a great deal of the time until ultimately it vanishes from your life. Is that not worth some committed focus?

Okay, let's go.

Take a deep breath, and an honest look at the choices you make on a daily basis. When you dig deep below the surface level motivations, I believe you'll find a simple dynamic: all choices emanate either from subconscious fear; or else they're coming from the soul, which is yearning to set you free.

For example...

- we don't express to people what we'd really like to for fear of losing friendship, or love, of being isolated or alone, or losing a connection, of not being loved.
- we allow programming to make daily routine choices about what to do because of fear that we won't fit in, won't be accepted, we'll look odd or weird, which might lead to judgment and even persecution.
- we don't spend more time actually doing the things we love because of existential fear, that we won't get paid, won't be able to afford to live, then end up homeless and starving, that we might even die.

Let's contemplate them and deal with them, beginning with the fear of death.

Fear of Death

When you contemplate it deeply, fear of death is irrational. From the moment you were born, you were already on a trajectory towards your death. You know this, but society continually creates the fear of it so as to lock people in. There are a zillion ways you could die, and life is becoming increasingly precarious with accelerating climate change and the impact of the shift - especially the pole shift, which is likely to complete within 3 decades and will be nothing short of a biblical in terms of impact on the surface of the earth. If you're reading this, you probably already know that life will continue after death and that death is only passing on into a new existence.

So maybe you're afraid of how you could pass on?
That you might have to endure pain or suffering?

The problem is that humanity has been divorced from life, and with that, separated from deep awareness of the flow. When you come into the flow, it always puts you in the right place at the right time and in the right state of consciousness to bridge - to transcend - what transpires. Take the humble rabbit. It will run like crazy to escape a predator, but when caught, it gives up the struggle and completely surrenders.

When your soul knows it's time to pass on, and if you can be in the soul, then it prepares you. If you allow it, the bodymind starts to shift and let go. You come into the spirit light body, and with that there's tremendous expansion. You start to shift into a dream-like state. The construct of the old reality bends and breaks - what you might have considered as fearful before, simply melts around you. You're washed through with unconditional love as you expand into higher realms. Your death, becomes the most joyful liberation imaginable.

That's how it can be, provided we're prepared to live in the moment. You don't have to envisage how you'll 'bridge this or that', how you'll endure certain circumstances. Simply work to be in the moment, let the flow carry you, and work into any contraction or fear that comes up as you progress along the pathway. The rest will take care of itself (see below as to how to deal with the symptoms of fear).

For most people reading this, I'd say you're already mostly past the fear of death as any underlying serious level of control. Because at some level, you know you'll pass on. You've ALREADY experienced past lives both here and in other vibrational realities.

It's the Fear itself that's the ultimate problem

You might be afraid of the pain of death. This is straightforward to mediate - take cold showers every morning!

I'm serious. Have your usual hot shower, but then turn to cold for a few minutes. Feel the contraction. Feel yourself withdraw from the body. Here's exactly where you identify with the physicality. Now instead soften into the feelings. Stop judging them as 'this ' or 'that'. They are simply an experience. Now let a new sense emerge forth - the sense of aliveness for example. Imagine you're standing under a vibrant and fresh waterfall. It completely turns the experience on its head.

The same can be said for fasting - practice intermittent fasting for example. Confront the internal cravings that contract you down - go deep into them. Become intensely intimate with them. They're just feelings, just experiences. Let go of the judgment of them. Just BE with them.

If you truly yearn to set your soul free, then this level of confrontation in daily life will ultimately do it. You do have to work at it though. It has to become a constant practice of confrontation of that which you would retract from. But if you do, the fear of pain will start to subside. Because you start to realise it's always a doorway, a possibility to explode identification with the physical; the opportunity to transcend into the spiritual.

You start to realise something totally fundamental to you as a being - that fear itself is the real problem. Not the experience itself, not the situation that transpires, nor the prospect of what could happen. You start to become so understanding, intimate and aware of fear, that you realise NOTHING can be worse than living in fear. So why not turn right into your fears and work through?

The Fear of Truly Living

So now you're dealing with the fear of pain and death. What about the fear of living? Why would we be afraid of that?

Here are three key reasons based on the same issue - karmic source pain and inner density:

1) Firstly there's attachment to an outcome. Society has convinced people it's about achieving 'this' or 'that'. Acquiring what we think we need to make us whole and complete. You don't need any of this. You are already whole. So work to let the need for a particular outcome go. That's not what life is about and you know it. Keep turning to growth from any situation - the emergence and expression of you as a being. Do it now. Wherever you feel the attachment to an outcome, switch instead immediately to your divine expression. And let the outcome happen as the effect of your growing divinity. You'll progressively lose the fear of not getting an outcome, because you'll gain so much more - the simple feeling of eternal being.

2) Secondly there's fear of not being loved, appearing out of place, odd or foolish. Let's get right into it - we're ALL odd, because we're all unique! That said, one of the greatest problems of living is that we've tried for too long to placate our inner density - to bottle it up and push it down. What's the effect? It means your density will create anyway, because its polarity, and that bends space time around it to create a mirror of it. So you've been creating disharmony in the various circumstances of your life - derailing and self-sabotaging due to the density. This breeds conservatism. You're afraid to be and do what you really want to because of the negative experiences you've lived with. There's a subconscious idea that it's better to play it small, and that way play it safe. The problem being you're constantly living with the disharmony of the distortion. You might have found ways to deal as best you can with the effects, but you're not truly living.

So why not open the box, let the distortion express through, and then realign it by finding the truthful expression in it? This is what we do at Openhand in the Living the Shift work. It brings the soul into coherency. It means you start putting out a more aligned vibration. It means you attract into your life more aligned and harmonious circumstances, more befitting of you, the real YOU.

3) Thirdly, in our capitalistic society, the other common fear of living stems from the idea that you won't have enough resources. Let's dive right into this one. Society is awash with resources! It's become incredibly good at extracting from the environment. Take a look at any town or city - there are resources everywhere, anything you could possibly want. There are so many goods, that when something breaks, it's cheaper to dump it and buy new. There's so much food, up to 50% of it gets thrown away! (I'm not saying any of this is a good thing by the way, just that there are plenty of resources out there).

Most importantly though, you'll be at a stage to realise one essential truth: that when you express yourself fully, in alignment, as a soul, then space time bends around your aligned expression and furnishes exactly the vehicle you need, and with all the energy, so as to express yourself - because that's exactly what the Universe does. It does nothing else!

Poverty Consciousness that Stems from Fear

Another challenge of society is that subconsciously, from an early age, we're 'saving for that rainy day'. Or there's expectation there won't be enough. In which case, you're ALREADY telling the Universe you don't have enough, which then creates that reflection in itself.

Energy is a flow - it comes in and goes out. Hanging on to energy is not the solution, because you're breaking the flow. Have courage, let it flow, and what you give out, in an aligned way, will always come back to you. But you do have to test this by giving it away.

You do have to explode the poverty consciousness in order for the flow to unleash through you. Give something away - with a full and open heart, with no intention but to give. And for certain, the energy will come back to you. But you do have to explode this fear through application, practice, courage and commitment to it. Then the Universe will reflect commitment back to you.

Dealing Practically with the Symptoms of Fear

How about rapidly and effectively dealing with the symptoms of fear?

Often fear is a mental, emotional, biochemical bodily reaction that's founded on some form of karma. Here's how to deal with it...

1) When fear happens, immediately notice the internal physical contraction. Often the breath shortens and the body goes stiff. So practice deep breathing in these situations and conscious movement to free up the body - you already start to break down the reactive programming.

2) Emotionally fear can contract you down and precipitate nervousness. So how can you get inside this loop? Soften right through the experience by becoming as-One with it. You observe and witness it, but then transcend it by 'opening a doorway through it' - simply being present with it.

3) Now look underneath the surface level reaction. What are you afraid of at a deep existential level? Turn into any such fear by considering the worst possible outcome. Continually explore into the depth of your being - who are you at the core level? Know that you cannot die in the depths of your being. The bodymind may fall away, it has a zillion times, but at a soul level you go on.

4) In this new place, you're dropping way beyond physical, emotional and mental reaction. Now connect with the breath once more, but in a deeper, softer, core way (at Openhand we apply Breakthrough Breathing). Feel the light of your soul as a flicker. Pay attention to it. Feel it grow as a flame. Let this become the core of you rather than the identity. Take on this experience - it is eternal, and beyond any of the circumstances that might generate fear. Sit, breathe and expand in that inner feeling.

5) Now let the soul come through. Put on some favourite empowering music and dance. Connect with nature - watch for example the humble little bird or flower. Is it not soft and gentle, and yet despite the harshness of society, does it not thrive with vibrancy? See your beautiful and empowered reflection in everything around you. Let your soul come alive!

Fear as a Gateway to Liberation

It's time to live life without fear. You know this. You've heard it a dozen times before. But here's the difference - we now know HOW to do it.

But it doesn't come by chance. It doesn't happen by ignoring it and being distracted by the illusion of society. You actually have to commit to dissolving it. You have to work at it in all the circumstances and situations you create. If you allow fear to persist by ignoring it, then it will continue to sabotage your life anyway. So why not deal with it?

We can do it. We can transcend the limitation of fear. Once you begin, once you've broken down some of the barriers, there comes a point when you realise that fear itself is the very problem, not that you need a particular outcome. Living with fear is far worse than anything that could possibly go wrong. As you start to experience an incredible sense of expansion and relaxation by softening through fear, you realise the tremendous gateway to liberation such confrontation can be.

Live without Fear...Openhand's Events in 2023

So are you ready yet? Let's do it. Let's begin. Right now.

I can’t count the time of how long (or short) I am (was) in this. It lasts for some while but it feels like it lasts for ages. I’ll try to be short in writing this…

There is that feeling that I have lost myself once again. Though… We can only lose what we had or what we owned. If I own nothing, how can I lose that? I am the soul, the ever-flowing consciousness. It’s impossible to own or have that. I can only have the falsely formed identity around myself. Then it’s not a loss… It’s just a wrong perception of being lost, it may happen when we are not clear about ourselves. Yet being in this kingdom of distorted mirrors takes a long time to put things and perceptions into place.

What I felt during that non-defined period of time is like carrying a heavy-weighted backpack (that soul was feeling) while navigating through the jungle of the “regular life on this planet”. And by “regular life” I mean the 3D - 4D “reality”. I tend to blame on my karmic manifestations but even not sure if that’s really karma playing this game anymore. Perhaps it’s a mix of everything – the soup made of leftovers from karma, intervention, distortions, mental programs. And so, I am constantly confronting that how it makes me feel and soften into it.

I feel I have lost my way of expression. No, not lost. I don’t feel a need in that expression anymore. I’m okay with holding everything for myself, containing within myself. There is enough capacity for that. Yet I felt to push slightly myself to write this down, and maybe to close this page and move onto the next page in the shift.

During that time I have been going through the “systemic” nonsenses – this is the only way I can describe it. I feel how all things to be done on the 3D plane squeeze my being into the small box.

The soul feels suffering from the limiting smallness of this physical world.

I do not fit in because I am much much bigger than what this limited world can present to me.

Every morning I have to ask myself – “where is my light?”

And when sitting in long enough meditations I may “explode” internally into the vastness of the cosmos! My consciousness literally flies away from all this small living on this earth and becomes one with an infinite space. I am surely part of that vastness. I am noBody.

I have the crystal clarity now that the life has nothing to do with WHAT and HOW THIS world is. I let it be the way it is created (just with a continuous questioning by whom). The life is about KNOWING MYSELF within and without this world. That‘s all it is.

I will not ask for forgiveness from this world when I feel it‘s time to head off to meeting my Bright Light. But I will remain in my own forgiveness.

Just felt to share where I am in my never-ending shift. And the sense of that vastness with this music video.

With all my cosmic love ❤️🙏

Once again, you write a great article and provide a template for living a fearless life. Maybe it is not so much the absence of fear but the courage to keep moving, persevering in spite of the fear. We must constantly be challenging ourselves, getting out of our comfort zones physically, mentally, physically and spiritually. We must constantly put ourselves in an environment where we are "testing" ourselves, "stressing" ourselves, doing things which truly "suck". Then embracing that "suck". That doesn't mean putting ourselves in needless danger. Cold plunges are a good example. They really "suck". They are not fun. Immersing your body in 40 plus degree water is by no means fun. However, getting the courage to lower your body in that cold water builds resilience in both mind, body and spirit. Start out for 30 seconds, then 60 seconds, then 3 minutes, then 5 minutes.

You want to rock climb? Start out small. Find someone who can teach you the basics. Practice those basics. The first time you do it, your stomach may contract. Breathe into that contraction and take the first step. Then as your confidence builds try a more difficult course. Each time you succeed makes you more resilient.

As always, daily meditation to feed your soul is a must. It is in that calm, when clarity and direction come.

Thank you Open

That's great advice on moving beyond fear John. 👍

Yes, start small and go in step by step - like the cold plunge.
Over time, it steels the spirit and prepares one for bigger challenges.

And absolutely: meditation, meditation, meditation!

07/10/2023 Shift Update: Living Beyond Fear

The 3D society world gets crazier by the day as the transformation of underlying energies across our planet escalates. We know it will all break down at some point. We will, in a sense, 'lose it all'. I've always found that when you're prepared to let go completely, that's when you can experience tremendous gains.

So it is with fear. Fear is what holds us back from the full unbridled expression of our highest self. In this sense then, paradoxically, fear can be our greatest friend, because it points to the doorways of transformation. You can work with the triggers it activates inside - work directly into the contractions of tightness just as soon as it arises. Then you have a simple choice: does it serve me to live my life constrained by this fear?

At some point, you realise it simply doesn't serve. So you might as well turn right into it, and take that step that would otherwise have limited you. Even if the situation doesn't turn out the way you would have liked, then you will at least have let go of any fear, and with that comes marvellous inner integration and expansion.

This very day, and every day from now on, feels like a great time to commit to a life without fear.

Because we are all superstars!

Bright blessings

Hi Jami - I can feel you're on a deep journey of discovery The Sun Emoji

It might help to turn the perspective around - how might you be betraying them by not allowing them to experience the truth? As you know, we cannot protect or walk the path for another - which is tantamount to control, and of itself is therefore NOT unconditionally loving. As you've discovered, it's straightforwards to deal with your own pain of loss, when you know how to dive into the centre of it. But when you feel you might be the cause of someone else's pain, that's a whole new ball game, a whole deeper level. Yet pain is what also forges the soul, and so we must summon the courage to allow others also the opportunity to grow through it. This then, is also unconditional love - being prepared to hold the crucible in which others achieve liberation by the confrontation of their pain. It's a whole new level of mastery.

Wishing you well in that.

I have been blessed with some amazing deep inner work and guidance. I truly strive to live guided by my soul each and every moment. My remaining struggle is how do I completely break away from the illusion of society when the two people I love to no end are so embedded in the illusion? It is not even a fear of myself losing them. It is a fear of them feeling I have betrayed them or don’t love them. That I don’t love them unconditionally as I say I do. This a heavy one for me and has spiralled me into some deep emotional density that I am struggling to surface from. Love to you all. Thank you for holding space for my expression.

Dear All,

I moved into my own house at the last day of january - which was a happy moment - however, since then was not able to arrive internally to fully appreciate the massive amounts of time and work involved to attain all that. Instead, i focussed on the small things that are still missing and for several weeks got stuck in negativity. I did feel greyish in my aura and a being harsh to myself and others, realizing that there was a big block in my heart chakra - and for some reason getting lost in the negative feeling instead of looking at it.

Here comes the point, which might seem extreme in the first place.

Three days ago there was a terrorist attack here in town (Koulikoro, Mali) where a vehicle loaded with some barrels of fuel was exploded in the entrance area of the military installation (run by the European Union to train the malian military). There was a lot of shooting before the actual explosion which woke me up, so i went to the window and saw the fireball rising up some two kilometers distance from me. As i stood there i realized a small contraction in the heart area but otherwise there was no feeling of fear, so i was able to breathe through and not close down, before i felt my body was shivering of the cold. The fear of physical injury or death is something i largely resolved a while ago, otherwise it would not make sense for me to live in a place like Mali. This gives me the opportunity to review the fear of physical insecurity once more.

Now this chain of events was stirring - and this may sound bizarre - the feeling to "explode" (an extreme mirror, isn't it?) my blocked heart chakra and let go of any remaining fear and negativity. Interestingly, the movie title "Indpedence Day" comes to mind, it seems to be time to really let go and again focus on the positive, and not to ignore that which has already been achieved. This feels very liberating, i can now feel the heart chakra warming my core and radiating outwards.

Have a great day  everyone,

Thomas

  Namaste Open!

as always I found your post right at the time when lot of things happening within and out.

Lot of things have changed within me since I last dropped a word/ comment on this platform, although, I keep reading the posts and discussions regularly.

I do notice my fears acting out in many small and big ways. I have made a will that I will not act out of fear anytime, anymore. Enough now. I have lived in fear for long. Fear of losing love, fear of being loner, fear of seeming odd, fear of rejection and many more.

I  am glad I could read your encouraging post and derive more clarity and direction from it.

Openness, surrender and love .. will be my guiding lights in the darkness of my fears

Thank you. Soooo much 😊🙇‍♀️

Ps: long time back you had suggested me ( in a reply to my query/ comment) to work on my sacral chakra. I am working on it now. And understand the depth of your insight. Thank you so much.

Always love

I've just had the most stupendous morning shower meditation (mentioned above), so I thought I'd expand on it with you and encourage you to try it.

It began with 3 Openhand Bows, which you can see in this video here below if you don't know it...
Transmutation with the Openhand Bow

And next to the shower - a few minutes of warm water first, and then preparing for the cold. Get yourself ready for it. First take yourself off to some beautiful landscape, you're about to stand under a wonderfully vibrant, icy cool waterfall. It'll be a bit of a shock to the system at first, but know that it's going to bring you alive far more than any morning coffee ever could!

So now switch to cold.

Feel deep into the body and begin to breathe deeply as the water flows over and around your body.

Wherever there's tightness, turn into it and soften. Keep relaxing and breathing deep into it.

Keep visualising the waterfall and how the vibrant energy is bringing you alive.

Make sure you direct the water to all parts of your body. Keep softening!

And when you're finished, just stand still in the shower. Breathe deep.

Now, take the index finger of each hand and wrap it around the eyes to the tear duct and gently push in. Life the eyebrows at the same time. This is an old Kriya yoga posture and it unleashes the most tremedous light effects - especially after the shower. Watch the lights morphing but all the while, feeling the rise of energy in your body.

When you get out of the shower, towel the body upwards not downwards, because that helps clear the endocrine system.

Now, finally, sing your favourite song as loudly as possible!

Voila. You're alive and awake. Ready for the day. Bring it on!

Hi Faye,

Well thanks for having the courage to share - and as you can see, expressing greatly helps Thumbs Up SignThe Sun Emoji

Ultimatelty there's nothing to fear from the truth - fear only happens when we've been separated from it. In truth, there comes this point where there's total acceptance, a great sigh of relief, and a deep letting go. But there will be many layers on the path to break through - I can strongly encourage you and all reading to continue Heart

People who have children are often more afraid because of what might happen to them, rather than themselves. "We want a bright and rosy future for our kids". But let me ask you this question to contemplate, would you want someone to walk your path for you? Would you want them to choose all the various circumstances you would encounter on your behalf? What point then would there be for your journey, even for your very soul? And so why would we do the same for our kids?

Just like you and I, whether conscious or not, we each chose to be here at this time to get exactly the circumstances we're getting because that's what the soul is requiring at this particular point in its journey. Or else quite simply we wouldn't be here.

Children often have a lot less fear than their parents. Then can bridge all manner of incidents and circumstances with total acceptance - it's only parental fear and that of society that all too often gets programmed in. And in any case, many of the souls coming into incarnation at this point, as children, are carrying specific vibrations to deal with the circumstances we're facing - it's their destiny. So let's work through that fear and not try to deny them what they're choosing. Instead can we help them see beyond the limitation of the merely physical - can we support them to realise the majesty of their greater cosmic self?

What could be more worthwhile.

In loving support

I think Im having some kind of dark night of the soul!  Im starting to really realise and come to terms with the fact the earth and biosphere are in terminal decline, and Im struggling to come to terms with this, and its scary and Ive been feeling quite depressed. If I didn't have a little daughter I think I would find it much easier. It's when I see her that I feel so sad for her that she might not grow old and her life may be very hard as she gets older. I cling onto trying to fix things through work... But then I look at the big picture and I can see that it may be futile, but I still want to try and I enjoy trying. I'm realising just how unconscious most people are to the destruction they are causing, and this makes me realise the futility even more! And then I see that the spiritual journey has to be the only way. I know on a logical level that death is nothing to worry about. But I still get scared. I will continue to practice. I know a lot of the previous paragraph is my head and brain talking and not my soul and heart. I am meditating daily. I feel a lot of movement inside my conciousness-i feel really alive when I meditate. I can align with the flow. I soon lose it in daily life, but I always go back to my cushion. I guess this depression and fear is part of the grieving process for the old way of being-life before we had to worry about the world ending. I hope I can find the strength inside to be brave to walk this journey. It helps to write about it.

I felt to share this with you today. The shift is moving into territory of uncertain times. But this can be a positive boost to your life, because it brings up fear - those that were ALREADY there in subconscious. The Shift is offering us the chance to be truly free by confronting and exploding the ultimate myth of these.

So what are your fears? Feel free to share, then we can unravel and dissolve them.

Dear Open,

I'm feeling deeply overwhelmed. I think it comes from feeling torn between the old paradigm and the new within myself. I had shared earlier that my husband ( who represents security and a sense of home externally) is bitterly opposed to me attending the retreat in Belgium . I recognize that much of what I was reacting to within him was merely a reflection of my own deep deep Fears. Fear of changing ,fear of finding myself without approval from my husband ,fear of loneliness. These fears are competing with other fears . Fear of not doing enough ,if not being good enough when the time comes.

I am feeling I to these fears best I can and since they are so strong ,they feel deeply karmic. In my fear of loneliness I feel scared to be ' cast out into the black cold'. In my fear of not being enough I sense self-judgement . The last time around I could not save enough people even though I wanted to. I am even afraid of all the internal and external changes that will inevitably occur after an in person retreat .

And yet there is a part of me that's rubbing her hands with Glee. Bring it on she says 😄

Lots of love ,

Hi Megha,

Being torn between the Old Paradigm and the New is something I too have felt at times within. I believe it comes from being understandably invested in a reality construct. Without the investment to some degree, it's difficult to fully appreciate the journey at this moment.

So a balance is necessary - but what kind of balance?

In exploring through the various layers between connection with the New Paradigm and working with those in the Old,  I've steadily found myself with one foot on each bank. And then understood that this is how a bridge works. I know it's my purpose for being here, and there are plenty out there who're here to do the same.

Perhaps this helps make sense of the dichotomy?

The thing is, to come into balanced peace with this, is to unfold fully on both banks. It's to be able to share with those in the 3D what you feel is happening, but in a non loaded way. But it's also to radiate the higher frequency - because that's what they'll feel most, that's what can benefit most.

So my advice is to keep unfolding on BOTH banks, and that will bring you into peace with your mission.
