Dear community,

I have been singing, learning and exploring more poems by mystic poets from India, who constantly remind us of the divinity and presence that resides within us. Among all these poets, Kabir, the 15th-century poet, is my favorite. Whenever I sing his songs, he reminds me of who I really am, helping me connect with the divine within me, and repeatedly telling me that I am not this small self, but something much greater. Hi River - This was beautiful - the melodious flow took me deeper into myself. My screen lights were down low when I watched and listened to your video, and it gave the impression that we were in a cool, damp forest with light rain falling all around. It felt very nourishing and nurturing to listen and feel the sense of the rain softly falling.  Thanks so much for sharing. Heart

I'm so happy to share my new song called "Kanavu" which means "Dream". I wrote the song in Tamil and Malayalam language but for you guys, In the video, I have translated the lyrics into English Hugging. 

One morning I woke up with this tune, I was singing these lines and feeling a sense of connection, relief and remembrance of who we really are, where we really are.

Let's be a dream in this dream and stay close to the real flame that's within us and ever present. Heart

this world is merely a dream

a mirror of illusions,

but there's a flame that you are

which is real and ever present

I found your song 'I follow you' so haunting and beautiful. I love the way you control you voice on the long notes. I felt transported somewhere, to a place in my ancient memory. At a place, there was a small pond.

The plants grew closer to it.

Animals and birds came there to drink water.

It protected all living things. Suddenly one day,

it turned into a volcano and Burnt everything. 

Dear community, It's a short film of mine, which I made 3 years ago. Before I became a member of the Openhand community. Now that I think about it, I feel it was my soul speaking to me about the Great shift that is taking place.

I felt like starting the journey with this song I composed a while back. This is in Malayalam, and the rough translation is as follows:

 

 

I'm looking for all the paths I could

everywhere and deep within my soul

 

Truth, where are you?

Where are you, inside me?

 

In the darkness within me,

You awake as a flame.

 

In the deserts within me,

You flow as a river.

 

Become my invisible wings

Become my sky to Fly
