I've often pondered this Thomas - I would say each chakra is a crystallisation of one of the rays.

And yes it does add complexity, but great adventure too - so you could be having a blend of particular rays coming through a particular chakra. For example, how can you process the ray4 diplomat through the base chakra which is strong and forthright?

It gives great sophistication to our expression.
