Well, I'll just add that on the way up to the 9 ladies our dog was not for going. Sat down refuses to move. He gave in in the end.

On the way up, 1.5km through a wood, no birds or song, very muted and dull energy. 

Like I said a bit woosy in the circle. We were surprised to see a lot of people, mostly kids of about 6 to 10, picnics and kids running around laughing.  Usually see mostly adults at these things. 

On reflection those kids definitely raised the tone. Brilliant.
