After reading this article a flash from the trailer of 2025 Dracula: A Love Story came through my mind. I have always been facinated with creature features. Some say the origin is from the story of Judas, which is not what has been told. That is another love story. Might be some karma there. In the clip, Dracula loses his wife and it spends the duration around that event . What is extraordinary is the actor Caleb Landry Jones is able to tap into this pain with complete authenticity. He knows it intimately. It brought forward this space in a void of pain. Suspended in space and time. This deep separation from everything. Complete anguish. I think the story of Dracula and the Werewolf are 3D metaphors of this space. The perverse distortion that happens when one can not or will not allow the release from the pain. Maybe the imposter of the soul is a master in this space? Addiction sits in this distorted space. When working with the energy of my own cravings I realized I loved feeding the monsters within. It is intoxicating and sensual. I noticed that feeding it is keeping it alive and well while I stay dead inside. It is difficult. It takes courage and strength to let the consumptive inpulses run through, observe it and be honest about what it is and where it comes from. I came across a saying this week that I wrote on my mirror, "consistancy out performs perfection". So I step into that void when it presents itself and observe myself in it. When it presents, it shows me I am not where I need to be.
