Personal Responsibility

Personal responsibility is a term that is used widely in spiritual circles, but what does it really mean in practice?

One possible definition that came to me tonight, as I was doing a form of meditation based around creative drawing, is as follows.

I am responsible for every aspect of my life, including everything I think, feel, say & do, & everything that happens in my life, including all situations, circumstances & relationships I find myself in.

I'd be interested to hear what others think or believe about this...

Blessings,

Yes, personal responsibility means to me that we create everything that happens in our lives. By the Law of Attraction, we draw circumstances and people that reflect our inner state of consciousness - both the distortions and the gifts of beingness.

So here's the crucial thing: when something happens to you, especially things you don't like, the key is not to blame anyone or anything else for it happening. This is not an easy thing to do! It's about working to understand why you drew that situation to you? What is it telling you? What do you need to let go of? How can you evolve and grow through it? What are you now being invited to express?

Accepting this responsibility is the singularly most important thing we can do after waking up.
